Christian broadcasts make big impact on lives of prisoners in Estonian prisonStaff members at partner station Radio Tartu in Estonia are reaching out to local prisoners and distributing fix-tuned radios so they can listen to the broadcasts. As a result, criminals of all ages are giving their lives to Christ, and their lives are being transformed. The situation in the prison in Tartu, Estonia, is truly miraculous. The prison is the biggest and strongest in the country. Listening to Christian radio is legal there in jail. All other radios would be confiscated if the guards found them, but the fix-tuned radios are allowable by law. HCJB Global staff attended a recent service at the prison. Many prisoners who participated in services came at the end to shake their hands and thank them for the broadcasts. It was unbelievable how much they know about the programs. They are very attentive, dedicated listeners. They also asked for more fixed-tuned radios to share them with other prisoners. God doesn’t use only the broadcasts to do a good work in the prison. Various groups of Christians regularly visit this institution to reach out to the prisoners. |
