Radio is Making a Difference

In the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, Africa, a small station with a small transmitter is making a big impact for the Kingdom of God!

On-air for several years, Harvest FM has spoken to AIDS orphans and prostitutes, government ministers and the Queen of Lesotho, always echoing the heart of Jesus.

Several prostitutes on the streets of Maseru, who thought they were totally rejected by society, were surprised and thrilled when station volunteers appeared on the street to speak to them one evening, bringing free gifts of fix-tuned radios. The Harvest FM program being broadcast at the time gave the listeners an opportunity to call in and pray on the radio for the “street ladies.” Four of the women were convicted and made commitments to the Lord. As a direct result of this outreach, a local factory heard the story and offered these women employment so they could get off the street.
